I am really embarrassed to say I didn't see she tagged me - on the 22nd of February. Anyway, now I will fulfill my duty and answer :-)
I have to tell you 20 facts about myself, so here goes:
1) I was born in Germany and lived there until I was 26!
2) My husband is german as well, which makes both our kids german as well although they were born in the UK.
3) I love tidying my craft area and reorganizing it when I have some time spare (doesn't happen that often)
4) I spend too much on craft stuff...
5) I love cooking and baking and used to throw parties/dinner parties just so I could have an excuse to cook for lots of people.
6) I am afraid of spiders and snakes.
7) I would love to have a pet but fear I would not have enough time for it so so far didn't get one.
8) I hate driving if someone is watching me.
9) I have been married for 5 years this May.
10) I plan so many things that I want to do that I usually get into a muddle and don't get everything done. Need to really learn to say no...
11) I have a very good sense of smell/taste and when I was in Greece for a holiday I tasted that a wine we ordered was not the same as the one we had before (It was, but from a different cask!)
12) I have trouble understanding sometimes if people joke or not... makes me look a right thicko!
13) I don't like truffles or pralines.
14) If I had to choose between never having chocolate again or never having blackforest ham again, chocolate would always loose.
15) I used to have bright red spiky hair with platinum blonde highlights at the front..
16) I made my first card when I was 9 and sold them at christmas market!
17) I am a direct descendant of Charlemagne (not all on the male line though) and that makes me and my kids eligible for a grant/sponsorship if ever anyone of us wants to study law or religion...
18) I am a gadget girl and love shiny new tools, especially crafting or kitchen stuff...
19) I had my first job when I was 14 as a waitress in a cafe and worked pretty much ever since until I had my first baby, Paul nearly 5 years ago. Since then I am a slave *lol*
20) I used to be good at maths in school but now have trouble even doing simple calculations... I blame the braincell eating kids!!

OH MY GOD - award and tags...
I have just noticed that I have received a few awards and a tag over the last few weeks that I didn't even acknowledge. Sorry!!!
and I am supposed to give it to people who make me feel special. I would like to give it to Kathleen, Julie, Jules, Suzi, Debra, and Gina!
It's a pic of my lovely little boy Jacob last Christmas. He is just playing with some Playmaize (coloured little tubes of foamy things made from Maize that stick together when wet) he got from his Grandma. He is totally captivated and didn't even notice me taking pictures.
I want to thank you all so much for them, I feel very honoured that you thought of me.
Now to the huge task of getting through them...
Debra has awarded me this one:
Michele has actually given me two awards! Thanks hun, I am touched!
I also have been given this:
The rules are:
a) List 10 honest things about yourself, making them interesting.
b) Pass it on to 7 other bloggers who you feel embody the spirit of Honest Scrap.
The rules are:a) List 10 honest things about yourself, making them interesting.
b) Pass it on to 7 other bloggers who you feel embody the spirit of Honest Scrap.
So my 10 things are:
1) I don't like pralines/truffles but I am given them quite often so I pass them on to others...
2) I am actually quite a boring person but try to make it look as if I was interesting in some way *lol*
3) My first real boyfriend and I stayed together for 10 years before we split. I suffered for a year, he apparently still isn't over me...
4) I moved to London for a year of work experience and ended up staying!
5) I once worked behind the bar of a brothel for a week! I was the only girl dressed in the whole thing and it was a bit creepy, but good money for nothing more than serving drinks to customers and girls... (Actually, I think, this is quite interesting & honest, don't you think?)
6) I gave birth to two beautiful boys without any pain relief.
7) I sometimes hide from them in the toilet when I need 5 minutes of peace.
8) I sometimes cheat when I cook and use instant gravy that I just add cream or sth. to without saying it's instant...
9) I sometimes cannot bear to part with a card I made.
10) I started drawing and painting at the tender age of 1 when my mom used to give me pencils and paper and I would sit in my highchair for ages being quite happy.
Eileen has given me this lovely award:

I also got tagged by Michele and Christine. You have to go to the 6th folder of your computer and the 6th picture in it has to be shown here with an explanation of what is on it.
This is actually a bit difficult for me as my Mac has several ways of displaying folders etc. I went with alphabetical and this is what came up:

I have been tagged and got an award! Wohoo!!

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by! I have been still fighting with that pesky cold and now think it might have developed into a sinusitis as I just cannot get my nose to unblock. Grrrr....
While I have been away from blogland however I have been given the "I love your blog" award from two lovely people!! The fabulous Michele and the no less fabulous Erin! Check out their blogs, they are really inspirational! Thanks girls!
The rules say I have to give this to 7 people and as there are so many great blogs it was very difficult to decide... I chose:
and Laura
You should check their blogs as they are all great crafters and have lovely blogs.
I have also been tagged by no less than 4 people!! Namely: Kathleen, Erin, Joy and Lisa! Thank you all!
Well, I have to give 5 answers to the following questions and tag 5 people, which will be hard as I don't want to tag people who already got this one...
For the questions, here goes:
Things I love:
1. My children and family
2. My friends

1. My bloomin' cold!
2. Spiders and Snakes... not so fond of creepy crawlies..
3. Nastiness towards anyone, human or animal!

An award, a tag and the hedgehog... (oh and two cards as well...)

The award is called the Wylde Women Award and its purpose is to send love to and acknowledge women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.
The lovely Kathleen gave the award to me and the rules are like this:
1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between
2.Make sure you link to their site
3. Link back to Tammy at http://www.tammyvitale.com so she can visit all these great women
4. Remember the purpose of the award
So, here goes, I award it to
Julie(again, I know...)
Please check them out, they are all amazing!
I have also been tagged by Joey!
The rules are:
1. Link your tagger and list the rules on your blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blog
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog
So, now I have to tell you some facts...
1: I LOVE childrens books... Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, Eragon, The Narnia Chronicles... just love it!
2: I am a real foodie. Love to eat and love to cook, bake, prepare food. Hmmmm....
3: Harmony above everything (well, almost everything), I do all I can to keep everything and everyone around me happy
4: Addiction to rubber stamps... Cannot resist buying them!
5: This is weird but unfortunately true.... I love squeezing my O/H blackheads... or my own, but I don't get that many...
6: I'm a gadget girl. I love technical stuff like fancy phones, computers, cameras or any new crafting gadget.
7: Ironing is not my forte... in fact I don't do it! Hubby does his own shirts, anything else waits until it is desperately needed or hubby does it *g*
and the people I am tagging are:

Today I found a little hedgehog on the street in front of our neighbours house. He didn't seem to well as he didn't run away when I came over to have a look. He seemed a bit lost and confused and after getting him some earthworms and moving him to the safety of our garden I phoned the RSPCA and local vets. I brought him over to the vets after being told they would check if he is ok and if not could help him by sending him to an animal hospital. He is fine apart from being a bit weak and not weighing enough so they kept him. I am happy that he is well cared for now!
And this is him...

Well, I also did a few cards lately for Do Crafters. One was for the October Friendship swap and it has a Halloween theme. The other one is a wallet card and is going to a swap partner, not sure which one yet *hehe*
First, here is the Halloween card, which I rather like:

The other card was also my entry for the Winter Wonderland Tilda challenge over on Do Crafts and I really like it!

Thanks for stopping by on my blog today and hope you like it!
