Hello lovely bloggers...

thanks if you haven't deserted me after the long silence! My camera charger hasn't turned up yet but I got fed up of waiting and bought a replacement. Now I can finally use my beloved Canon EOS20D again! 

And to start off I took some pics of a couple of samples for the Crafts U Love birthday where I'll be running workshops! If you haven't booked your place yet, be quick, it's gonna be a fabulous crafty day!

I loved creating with those wonderful Memory Box dies and the Gorgeous Girls. 

Will keep this short and sweet as I want to play some more ;-)

Loving my iPhone...

Hello everyone, missed me? Sorry for not blogging for ages again, just so many other things vying for my attention... And to boot my camera is out of juice and I can't find my charger :-(
I have however managed to take pics of some stuff on my beloved iPhone but only for putting things onto eBay! I have only discovered the other day how easy it is to sell stuff via my phone rather than the computer and I can honestly say, I love my phone! *hehe*
I'll try to take some pics of my cards as well soon, but for now I'll have to leave you without project pics.
If you want to get some crafty bargains however, you are most welcome to check out my stuff on ebay. It's only a fraction of what I have for sale at the moment but I had to start somewhere ;-)

Some Demo Day cards

today is such a beautiful day, I am going to go out soon to enjoy some of that sunshine! But not before I share some (hmm, a lot really) cards with you, that I made for the Demo Day in the Glitterpot on the 3rd of March.
I was demoing Copic Markers again, which means all colouring on these cards are with Copics. I won't go into any details as there are so many and as always, you can ask any questions you might have in the comments section or send me an email. I'll do my best then to answer every question you have!


I got to work with the sweet new Bella range from Wild Rose Studio and the new designs from Imagination Crafts and to showcase a Copic Background technique I used Floral Sketches set by Hobby Art. If you want to see more detail, you can always click on the pictures to enlarge them.

Isn't she the cutest? And let me tell you, she is much easier/quicker to colour than those balloons! God, they  take a long time to get right!

Just a quickie...

it's a bit late tonight but I feel like I want to share some crafty makes with you before I hit the sheets.
I didn't have the best start to the week with our car going into the garage for a weird noise only to find out it's gonna cost us mega bucks to fix and it's not really an option to keep going regardless. Broken bearings in the gearbox apparently, whatever that means, all I heard was "no holidays for us this year". To top it all off it had to happen now, when my hubs is away for the week and I am home alone with the boys, who got a stinking cold that they seem to be swapping...
So tonight I treated myself to some girly movie watching (The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl -love her!- and Gerard Butler) and a Coca Cola on the sofa to unwind. Guilt-free watching as well, as I doubt my husband would have wanted to watch that with me... but it was surprisingly good, even if it was predictable. 


Right, sorry for the diversion, I am back now to crafts *lol* I have quite a few cards I made lately that I haven't had a chance to share yet. I'll make a move on one now and hopefully get to share some more over the next few days.

The gorgeous flowers are called "Scabious" and are by Ruth of A Passion for stamps. I coloured them in Copics and fussy cut them dragging a black pen around the edges to make them pop more. I tied some cream seam binding around the stems into a pretty little bow.
The lattice I diecut from lilac card is from Papertrey ink and I think it's really pretty, my only gripe is that it's made for american card sizes and hard to fit to european ones. I simply glued the lattice to my card base and popped the flowers on with foam pads. The sentiment (PTI) is stamped onto a strip of white card that I cut into a double sided banner and stamped a gingham background (PTI) on the reverse that you can just about spot. Easy peasy card to get me started again. Hope you like it!

Craft room clear-out has started...

I've got another card for you that I made with one of Ruth's images from A Passion for Stamps, "Cairn Terrier".

I printed this quite large and cut it in a circle before colouring with Copics. I used W5, 3, 1 for the fur with a hint of R30 in his ears and YR20 for the background.
Natural coloured seam binding was slid through slots I punched into the image and tied in a bow. The sentiment is from a Stampin up hostess set and I used several sizes of circle punches to add dots, some popped up onto foam pads. Easy peasy...

A challenge card again

I have been colouring up some of the lovely digis from A Passion for Stamps and this little beauty, called "Acidanthera"  really spoke to me, so I wanted to make it stand out on a card.
Here is my project:

I coloured the image with Copics (YG67, 63, 61 for greens, N3, 1, 0 and BV000 for the "white", V99 Y23, 17 for centres) and cut it out with a scalpel. I cut and embossed a Labels Five in light purple and distressed it with Seedless Preserve while still in the die. Sentiment is by Papertrey ink and paper is My Mind's Eye, Lime twist "Happy go lucky together dotty".

Copic Class at the Glitterpot

Good afternoon everyone!


On Friday I had a lovely day at the Glitterpot teaching a workshop on using Copics on "Girl" stamps. It was a great assortment of wonderful ladies and I believe I had three sets of mothers with daughters in it!


I had chosen to work with a Gorjuss Girl stamp and one of Mo Manning stamps that Penny Black have brought out recently, love her stuff! 
So here are the cards I created for the workshop, as usual when I teach colouring I kept the layout simple.

Paper is Basic Grey "Kissing Booth - I do"and I used the following Copics:
R89, 85, 83, 81 (pinks)
E21, 00, 000, R02, 05 (skin)
E15, 13, Y21 (hair)
E74, 71, 70 (ground)
Y23, 17 (yellow on flowers)
N3,1,0 (greys/shadows)
G28, 24, 21(greenery)
and the blender as always...

Next I made another card with her, slightly altering the colours and giving her red hair instead of blonde.

Paper is by My Mind's Eye "Miss Caroline "Howdy Doody Baby Chantilly" and I used these Copics:

Y23, 21 and a colour I mixed myself from 2/3 colourless blender and 1/3 Y21 (socks and yellow on dress and flowers)

For this next card I wanted a vintage-y feel but tried to liven it up a bit with the fresh turquoise green of the backing paper, which is MME Miss Caroline "Howdy Doody Like Wild Flower".

I used the following Copic colours:

E59, 57, 55, 53, 51, 50 (hair, horse body)

skin colours as before

E49, 47, 44, 43, 41 (horse mane, rocker, shoes)

E81, 43, 41 (dress)

Y23, 21 (shirt, hem, arm warmers and tights)

Demo cards

Good morning!


This miserable weather is not making me want to go out today. Bahh!
I have had a nice weekend with a demonstration on Saturday at Crafts U Love. I met lots of lovely crafters and got to play a bit as well. And when I got home my new laptop had been delivered - yay! I am writing this post on it and I can tell you, it is soooo nice not to have to wait five minutes for every action to actually happen on the screen! My old trusty MacBook was getting too slow for me after 6 years of service and I was wanting to scream every time I needed to do some work in Photoshop!
Yesterday I had to get out of the way of my darling hubby as he was working on our kitchen redo and not in a good mood... which didn't help my mood either, so being apart was better for all involved *lol*.
Right, back to the demo, I had prepared 10 cards that used the Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die combos (as well as a HA Art of the Card set together with Distress Inks.
I didn't get a chance to take pics at home so these were done in the shop and accordingly I couldn't do much about the lighting... I also only noticed at home I forgot to take a picture of one card (you might see a blue eiffel tour card peeking in on some of the pictures, that one I didn't take a photo of :-( A bit miffed with myself as I really liked that one. Might try to get one when I next go to the shop.


Starting with the Cupcake Set, this green card was a quick one where I coloured one die cut cupcake with Peeled Paint  and Worn Lipstick DIs and sponged the frame as well as stamping the second cupcake directly onto the green mat. The stripe on the ribbon was done with the same DI with the help of good old sello tape.

On the next card I played with the frame die a bit and cut an aperture into the from of the card and stamped the coordinating image inside on some patterned paper. I put acetate over the front and stamped the sentiment with Stazon on it. A bit of sponging to the frame cut out and the patterned paper on the front (Victorian Velvet) and then I cut out the middle by tracing the outside of the die onto the paper. Both cupcakes were stamped and cut then coloured with Victorian Velvet and decorated with pearls, gems and a bit of glitter.

For the last cupcake one I stamped the sentiment repeatedly onto white card in Smokey Gray (Versafine) and Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick DI then placed the frame die in the middle, tracing the outside with a  black pen and placed silver pearls in every scallop. Before taking the die off I lightly sponged pink ink around the outside, leaving the middle part white. Stamped and die cut cupcakes on foam pads inside the frame were coloured with Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick and the right one has some paper piecing done to the lower part.

Next I played with the Victorian style Ladies in hats. First up an easy number. I die cut the large image from scrap paper and sponged onto the card directly with Spun Sugar DI. Then I overstamped that with Versafine Smokey Gray and added a sentiment and a ribbon with bow. A pink pearl to resemble an earring and some accent colouring to finish.

The tall lady in the set was what I wanted to feature in the next card. I stamped with Worn Lipstick DI and die cut her after dragging the colours out with a water brush. The beautiful DP was distressed a little on the edges with Worn Lipstick and I matted onto dark pink card. Sentiment and pink pearls were added and that's it, easy peasy :-)

The last of the ladies was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia and then water coloured with Vintage Photo DI. I used the same ink to stain my originally white ribbon and to add some depth to my heart embellishment (made with card stock, glossy accents and Distress Crackle Paint). The background paper was stamped with the tall lady in Vintage Photo again and sponged, edges distressed and sponged some more and I added some dark brown card as well as a pearl earring to the die cut lady.

On to the Style is Eternal set... Wasn't sure if I liked this at first but now I love it.
I used the Art of the Card Paris, France set to make a panel first, stamping randomly in Peeled Paint and Broken China DI, then sponged the middle in Broken China (lightly!) and the edges in Peeled Paint before spritzing with a little pearlised water. It doesn't show much in the picture but it gives a subtle sheen as well as delicate splatter pattern, love the effect! Layered this over slate blue card stock and stamped sentiment on in Versafine Onyx Black. Then I stamped and die cut the handbags, coloured with DIs (colours as before) and added gems, the black bag in the middle is covered in glossy accents. The were adhered with foam pads for some pop.

The next card was totally inspired by the gorgeous paper that I wanted to take centre stage. I matted it on dark pink card stock and went on to stamp the eiffel tower, handbag and the girl before cutting them out. The eiffel tower was then sponged with Weathered Wood DI, the girl and handbag were coloured with DI in Seedless Preserve and Tattered Rose. I made her a little corsage by punching a flower from my mat card stock and adding a sticky gem. I also added 3 little pink pearls to the paper and stamped the sentiment, sponging it lightly with Victorian Velvet DI.

I was a little disappointed at first that I couldn't colour the girls dress, but then more of this fab Designer Paper inspired me to think of other solutions. I coloured the girl with Tattered Rose and a bit of Worn Lipstick (lips and headband) and then covered her dress and one of her bags in wet glue and sprinkled glitter on. The other bag was paper pieced. I didn't want to hide too much of the paper so only added the sentiment, matted onto dark pink card, and sponged it lightly with Vintage Photo DI.

This was all I prepared (well, apart from the one I forgot to photograph...), but I have one more card to show, which I made during the demo.

I made the backing paper with the Art of the Card Paris, France set again using all shades of pink that the DIs come in (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose) for stamping, then sponging it all with Spun Sugar. The girl was coloured with Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick with a tiny bit of peeled paint for eye shadow. For the mat I used a dusky pink card that I also used to mat the little sign for the sentiment. Raffia acts as string and I added Viva Pearl Pen in black to the corner for balance.

It's a man's world...

just want to share some cards for the boys that were done for a Glitterpot class recently... 

I used a Butterfly Kisses stamp set called "Old Crock" which has some lovely images in for lots of applications. Also used the Memory Box ticket die and the coordinating stamp.

First off though I used the stamp set together with Spellbinders Nesties Stars and some grey and blue patterned paper and cardstock. Fairly simple design with some faux stitching and distressing of edges.

The next one is a large A5 card in browns, again with lots of distressing and faux stitching going on.

And lastly another card using more or less the same ingredients with some blue, twill ribbon, twine and a button thrown in.
