I had prepared a little something for each of them but forgot to take pictures *doh!* Kathleen did bring some great instructions for a storage system and choccies, Julie made each of us a lovely paper book that I will have to take a picture of later and upload for you all to admire as well and Sarah had a box of gorgeous yummy belgian choccies for each of us. Throw in some cake and cups of tea and coffee and you can imagine that we had a fantastic day.
We stamped quite a bit and exchanged tips and I gave a little introduction to working with copic pens and then we made little books with the BiA and I have to admit that this was great fun and the results were so good in relation to how little work it was really... Thanks to Michelle Saxon who did the demo at the Glitterpot we were all inspired and she had made it look so easy (which it was, really...).
Here is my effort, which I also will be entering in this weeks Magnolia challenge over at DoCrafts. The theme is Winter Wonderland and we were supposed to use two colours only (shades of grey and purple in my case, I cheekily forget about the brown for hair and sledge).
Tilda and sledge are coloured in Distress Ink, Papers are from Papermania, The snowflke embellishment I got from a lovely DoCrafter and I added a tiny purple gem in the centre. I cannot remember where the ribbon is from...
Let me know what you think!

Hi Alex, theres a little something on my blog for you.xxx
Hi Alex,
It is gorgeous - what do you mean -'so little work' when I did one it took me forever, there again I am slow. But yes it is fun, isn't it?
I'm sure they'll forgive the brown.
hugs Heather xxx
Hi Alex,
Glad you had a great day crafting, I love your notebook, gorgeous colours. I have put my first attempt at Copic colouring on my blog. when you have time I would really appreciate some hints & tips too improve my work!!!!
WOW I just love Tilda in these colors!!! :D Glad you had a fun day :D
You are one clever lady, this is fantastic!
Lucky you meeting up with your crafting buddies, now they're your real friends, not 'virtual' ones as my o/h calls everyone, lol! xx
Firstly, I just want to say that I had a fabulous time bei Dir!!!
Secondly, believe me, the long day and journey were worth it!!
Thirdly, I don't know if you noticed but by 5pm my eyes were extremely sore and itchy. This was because I don't think I slept at all Friday night (a combination of DH snoring, excitement of the following day and being scared over oversleeping and missing my train). Anyway, I managed to stay awake all the way home and not miss any stops (although Gatwick was almost hairy!)
I love your little book - and of course I'm a bit jealous cos you actually took note of the instructions and punched the correct sides of your papers!
Kathleen
PS Thanks for the demo on Copics - I'm still on the fence tho!!
Sounds like you all had a terrific day Alex1 I can't remember if I left on this at docrafts so in case I didn't - I think it's gorgeous & I love the colour combo, (I'm ignoring the brown, LOL!!) Hugs, Kirsten x.
